Hey All!
Today I'm starting a new series, one about running. For those of you that don't know, I really love to run. I'm not very fast, I'm pretty average, but it's still a lot of fun for me. I want everyone to understand how great running is, which is the purpose of this series.
The first installment in this is today's post, which is 7 reasons why you need to start running. Enjoy!

1. The most obvious reason you should start running is to become/stay healthy. Not only will running help you - along with good eating - achieve a healthy weight, but it strengthens knees and joints, keeps you sharp at old age, and can help prevent cancer. Also, people who run are proven to be happier than the average person.
2. More than any other sport, in running it's clear when you've made progress #ThankYouWatches. This is really motivating, at least for me. It's like a race against yourself.
3. You can run anywhere, at any time of the year. Unlike soccer, where you need a ball, or swimming where you need water, running can take place any where. Essentially all you need is your body. And if the weather isn't in your favor, there's always a treadmill.
4. Running is a great way to clear the mind. Whenever I have a rough day, running is my cure. In addition to releasing endorphins - endorphins make you happy - it helps you forget all your problems. When one runs, all you are able to focus on is the run, there is no room for distraction. I once heard someone call it "meditation in motion".
5. Those who run are proven to fall asleep faster than those who play any other sport. Who doesn't love a good nights sleep?
6. It is a great way to help you explore. When running you experience places on a way you never have before. I'm not sure why, maybe it has something to do with the speed your moving at or the fatigue you feel. Who knows, but it's worth it to try.
7. Running gives you such a big sense of achievement. There are no words to describe how it feels to cross the finish line at a big race it front of a bunch or cheering people with an announcer calling out your name. It's amazing.

I so hope this convinced you to start running. I worked really hard on this post and would love to do more like it, so if you're into that let me know down below. Have a great Wednesday!
xoxo,
isabel
I'd like more posts like this. I'm working on getting back to running-doing more walking now, but alternating with some jogging. Keep it up. You'll be grateful you did
