Today I'm going to be doing a trends post. I've done one of these before, and it was one of my most popular posts, so I thought I would do another one. I wasn't quite sure what to title it, because the weather is more winter in some places and fall in others, so I went with the general Current Trends.
Also, a quick announcement, I got a camera for my birthday (yayyyyy!!) so my posts will be much much much better quality.
Without further ado, here are my Current Trends.
1)Blanket Scarves.
These have been all over the place, in all styles, and in all weather. I think the appeal is the warmth they provide on top of how cute they are! I have one coming my way in the mail right now actually, I'm super excited!
2)Sparkles and Sequins
This is a pattern (???) that's been on all skirts, tops, and sometimes pants. I love this trend, believe it or not, but it has to be done right. If not worn right, the sparkles and sequins look cheap and a bit to over the top. I recommend finding these flashy clothing pieces at higher end stores, like J.Crew and Zara.
3)Cranberry
Ok, so this trend isn't quite a fashion trend, but more of a trend in the realm of food. When I go to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, anywhere I go grocery shopping, I feel like there is an abundance of Cranberry stuff. There of course is the typical sauce, but then there are breads, cakes, biscotti, sodas, cookies, granola, butters, even salad dressing!
4)Colored Eyeliner
I personally don't wear eyeliner, so I never will try this out. It feels like a hit or miss trend to me, as the sparkles/sequins did, because if done wrong, it will look like Micheal's exploded on your eyelids.
5)Army Green
Army green is a color that I have been seeing sososo much of. It's a great color that tones down any outfit, and can be worn with most any other color. My favorite way I've seen it worn is with reds, and having it be part of a layered look.

6)Fur
Fur (hopefully most of it is faux!!) has been the in thing. I do not like it on boots, I just think that is weird. A cute way to wear it though is on a vest, maybe with a chambray shirt and a statement necklace?
That was my current trends post, I hope you enjoyed it! Be on the look out for a favorite pinners post, a post on ways to wear a scarf, and a outfit of the day! Maybe even a recipe too? Contact me with any questions, you can find my links in the about tab.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
